My apologies. Life got in the way of my regular photo challenge blog post on Tuesday. But now I believe it was meant to be because had I not waited, I would never have taken this shot.
A week ago, my family and I were enjoying a beautiful spring day (the temperature was in the 70s), having a picnic at Acacia Reservation. Well, yesterday in Cleveland, Ohio it seems winter came back with a bit of a vengeance. Wind, rain, sleet, snow, hail? It all seemed to have reappeared. I immediately felt sorry for the daffodils and other early spring flowers and blossoms that had already arrived but were about to get a rude awakening.
I decided to go with the theme, “spring” for this past week’s photo theme. Thanks to Trina Dinnar of Trina Dinnar Photography for that suggestion!
Here you can see what the aftermath of yesterday’s spring storm. Look at my poor daffodils that line the side of our house:
I love this so much. It tells a wonderful story. We all want spring don’t we!? But the snow is just weighing us down. Think spring!
Beautiful photo Ellie B!
Spectacular photo! Says it all so poetically. You’re an amazing Cleveland nature photographer – as well as a fantastic portrait photographer and family photographer.
