I was really excited about shooting for this week’s theme of “rescue dog!” When I saw this suggestion, I immediately thought of Minnie.
In 2014, Ben & Jennie adopted Minnie from Live Love Rescue on the west-side of Cleveland.
Here are some things that I found out about Minnie during our interview:
- She is a Beagle mix
- She loves to eat peanut butter
- She enjoys walking people walk on the sidewalk outside her front window
- Her favorite humans are Ben & Jennie
- She enjoys chasing squirrels and chewing on various objects like toys and sticks
- She likes to cuddle with Jennie and roughhouse with Ben
- She loves playing with other four legged friends of the canine variety
- For vacation, Minnie enjoy visiting Camp Wise
I have never done a dog portrait before, but I think I’m hooked!
A very big THANK YOU to Janet Byers of Ruff House Animal Rescue for the wonderful suggestion for this week’s theme!
Beautiful portrait!! Your apparently are as gifted an animal photographer as you are a newborn photographer and family photographer. Wow!!
A really powerful shot! Animal photography is your new calling!
My suggestion for next week’s theme is "Spring"
Suggestion for a theme could be to photograph someone who has been affected by cancer and have him/her tell their story.
Beautiful dog, beautiful imagery. Lovely.
Minnie looks amazing
So sweet!
Theme suggestion: peaking light
You do have a gift for pet photography!! This image is lovely!
