I shot this week’s photo in Solon, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, in my in-law’s backyard. They have a beautiful yard with some woods behind it, so naturally I took my daughter (age 4) out to model for me. We have lots of outtakes, and adorable goofy photographer’s child faces, but this image was definitely the winner.
This week’s theme came from several people . . . I guess everyone really wanted me to do something weather/snow/winter related. Ask and ye shall receive. So thank you to:
Lindsay O’Connell of Lindsay O’Connell Photography – http://loconnellphotography.com
Kristi Gillette of K Mizell Photography – http://www.kmizellphotography.com
Bryony Tolley of Bryony Tolley Photography – www.facebook.com/bryonytolleyphotography
Rochel Eleff – giving a shoutout to Rohr Chabad Student Network of Ottawa – www.chabadstudentnetwork.com
And last but not least, Cyd Lapour of Bayou Rose Photo – http://www.bayourosephoto.com
who wanted me to use “new” – something new, something I’ve never done before, etc. So I shot during the brightest time day in snow. Snow portraits are new to me and I can’t wait to do more!
~ Don’t forget to comment below with your suggestion for next Tuesday’s theme! ~

Love all the snow falling, and her joyful expression! What a perfect portrait 🙂
This is great! How about shadows?
What a cool project! How about "Impervious"?
